Renovation of the 19th century home. The Italian architectural firm rocco valentini completed the renovation of a late 19th century stone house and mill using
S355J2G1W weathering steel. The two existing buildings offer different functions, one for the processing and refining of agricultural products and the other for the head of the household. The two buildings are closely related but formally separated.
In order to give new features to the destroyed building, the designer used the S355J2G1W weathering steel and glass to design a modern new volume to connect the two buildings and form a new entrance foyer and vertical traffic core. The angle design and material usage of the new volume are related to the agricultural processing machines used here.
