Entering the 21st century and standing in the forefront of the times, Shougang took the lead in implementing the relocation and adjustment of the steel industry. New steel mills such as Shougang Jingtang Company and Qiangang Company have been completed and put into production, and the overall technical equipment has reached the international first-class level. The product structure has realized the transformation from traditional long products to high-end plates. At the same time of relocation adjustment, Shougang has reorganized Changgang, Shuigang, Guigang, Tonghuan, Yiwu and other enterprises across the region. The industrial layout has expanded to coastal and resource-rich areas, forming a production capacity of 30 million tons of steel.
