The mine is the largest iron ore mine in Minas Gerais and the second largest iron ore mine in Vale. The Brazilian Mining Authority (ANM) said that the decision was made to understand that Vale has surpassed the approved mineral reserve boundary in the suspected exploration area. Vale said that the various production conditions proposed by the Brazilian Mining Bureau have been met.
