Wuhan iron and steel group

Wuhan Iron and Steel (Group) Corporation (WISCO) started construction in 1955 and put into operation on September 13, 1958. According to the data provided by China Iron and Steel Industry Association, WISCO ranked 11th in the world in output in 2015. Wuhan Iron and Steel Company mainly produces hot-rolled coils, cold-rolled coils, galvanized sheets, tin-plated sheets, cold-rolled silicon steel sheets, color coated sheets and various profiles, wires, medium and heavy plates. In addition, coke, refractories, chemical products, powder metallurgy products, copper, sulfur and cobalt concentrates, slag, oxygen, rare gases and so on are also produced. It is the main production base of automobile sheet in China and the main production base of cold rolled silicon steel sheet in the world.
